Philine UV

PhiLine UV

A range of 14 different PhiLine UV units are approved and certified by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH*) as a barrier against most bacteria, viruses and parasites.

The ‘L-shape’ design makes installation quick and easy in existing or new pipelines. The chamber can be installed easily in the main pipeline or in a bypass pipeline, vertically or horizontally, which allows for a 360° turn around the inlet axis.

PhiLine UV systems use low-pressure UV lamps, which are available in different types. These lamps emit a narrow spectrum of wavelengths. Most critical is the 254nm wavelength.

Intelligent system design makes the end flange easy to remove for quick, hassle-free access to all internal components. Only basic maintenance skills are required to remove or replace parts (UV lamps, wiper rings, quartz sleeves).

PhiLine UV systems prevent fouling of the quartz sleeves and UV sensor with an effective manual or electrically operated ‘anti-fouling mechanism’.

To qualify for NIPH certification, a PhiLine UV unit includes an absolute UV sensor which can be calibrated to provide a 4-20mA signal. All PhiLine systems generate a UV-dose/intensity report as required by the NIPH.

Optional features for the PhiLine UV system include a simple LED or high-tech PLC controller. The user-friendly Lambda controllers safeguard the operation of the PhiLine.

Gammaline UV

GammaLine UV

The GammaLine UV series is the most simple and basic UV system available from bestUV. The control cabinet features an hours counter mounted directly on the UV chamber. The cabinet can be turned 90° for horizontal or vertical mounting.

The ‘L-shape’ design makes the installation of GammaLine UV very simple. The chamber can be installed easily in a main or bypass pipe, horizontally or vertically, allowing for 360° turning around the inlet axis.

The robust construction of the GammaLine UV means it can perform reliably in demanding settings, such as a ship’s machine room with high vibrations.

The GammaLine UV series uses low-pressure UV lamps which are available in different strengths and emit the 254nm wavelength. Parts can be replaced by hand; no tools are necessary.

The GammaLine UV system offers the option of a UV sensor (4-20mA) to continuously control UV lamp output and the extended controller.

Sigmaline UV

SigmaLine UV

This SigmaLine UV system’s “I-shape” design features the inlet and outlet positioned in one line. The benefit is low head loss and very easy installation in new or existing pipelines.

The long-life medium-pressure UV lamp is compact and emits a broad spectrum of wavelengths with a high intensity to effectively disinfect or break down chloramines in pool water.

The UV lamp can be removed during flow so it is not necessary to depressurise the UV system.

A UV sensor (4-20mA) continuously controls the UV lamp’s output. In the event of the quartz sleeve fouling, water quality changing or the lamp aging, the UV sensor sounds an alarm.

The user-friendly Lambda controller manages the operation of the SigmaLine UV for optimum performance.

DeltaLine UV

DeltaLine UV

The DeltaLine UV series features ‘in-one-line’ positioning of the inlet and outlet connections. The UV lamps are high-output medium-pressure polychromatic types, positioned perpendicularly to the flow.

The high-output medium-pressure (MP) UV lamps emit wavelengths between 200 and 400nm.

DeltaLine UV systems are typically used in low-transmittance (high-absorbance) water applications, such as wastewater (both communal and industrial) and drain water for greenhouse operations.

A motor-driven cleaning device, which prevents fouling and protects the quartz sleeves and UV sensor, is standard with the DeltaLine UV system.

The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) designed DeltaLine UV provides optimal protection against waterborne human and plant pathogens, including bacteria, molds, protozoa and viruses.

Betaline-E UV

BetaLine-E UV

The BetaLine-E series uses unique high-efficient amalgam low-pressure UV lamps called Ecolight. The lamps emit germicidal wavelengths at 254nm.

The compact Ecolight lamps are ‘state-of-the-art’ low-pressure lamps, especially developed by bestUV for use in BetaLine-E UV systems. The lamp life is extremely long, meaning the operational costs are relatively low compared to traditional UV lamps.

As a result of bestUV’s integral development of the BetaLine-E and the ECOlight lamp the BetaLine-E is the most compact L-shaped system available on the market today.

The compact ‘L-shape’ construction simplifies installation in existing or new pipelines, fitting either vertically or horizontally.

The BetaLine-E UV system is biodosimetric tested and was approved for drinking water by the Austrian Institute Ö-norm (M5873-1:2001) and Norwegian Institute for Public Health (NIPH Liste B) in 2011.

The official approvals allow the BetaLine-E to be used in larger waterworks and smaller drinking water facilities to protect consumers against waterborne pathogens, including most bacteria (E.coli, Legionella, Vibrio, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella), viruses (Poliovirus, Rotavirus), parasites (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) and bacterial spores (Bacillus, Clostridium).

The BetaLine-E is officially tested and approved by the institutes with a cleaning device. The result is no fouling of the protecting quartz sleeves, which greatly reduces any UV light loss.

The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) designed and biodosimetric approved BetaLine-E provides optimal protection against pathogens, delivering the highest performance for lowest operational costs.

Betaline UV

BetaLine UV

BetaLine UV is a series of optimized “L-shaped” units. The inlet and outlet are positioned at 90°, providing predictable hydraulics while passing the UV lamps.

The ‘L-shape’ makes BetaLine UV system installation in existing or new pipelines very simple. The UV chamber, which can be installed in a main or bypass pipeline, vertically or horizontally, is able to turn 360° around the inlet axis.

The BetaLine UV series uses low-pressure UV lamps (amalgam) which are available in different lengths, emitting a narrow band of wavelengths. The 254nm wavelength is most critical for disinfection.

Smart design positions the maintenance end flange on top of the UV chamber, so BetaLine UV maintenance is very simple and requires only basic skills. A maintenance person can easily reach components for removal or replacement.

All BetaLine UV systems prevent fouling of quartz sleeves and UV sensor by an effective manual or electrical operating ‘anti-fouling mechanism’. Even the smallest BetaLine UV unit can be equipped with an electrical anti-fouling mechanism, which is unique in the market.

Depending on the type of BetaLine UV system and the application, it can be installed with a simple or high-tech PLC controller. The user-friendly Lambda controllers ensure the BetaLine UV system operates correctly and efficiently.

Kappaline UV

KappaLine UV

The KappaLine UV series is the most forward-looking UV system available in the market today. It features ‘in-one-line’ positioning for the in and out connections and perpendicularly positioned, very compact low-pressure UV amalgam lamps, called EcoLight.

The high-efficient ‘state-of-the-art’ EcoLight lamps emit germicidal wavelengths at 254nm and were specially developed by bestUV for use in the compact KappaLine UV systems.

This unique combination of compactness and high efficiency makes it stand out as the only system available in the market that combines all the advantages of both medium- and low- pressure systems.

The lamp life is extremely long, meaning the operational costs are relatively low compared to others.

The KappaLine UV system is biodosimetric tested and was approved by the Austrian Institute Ö-norm (M5873-1:2001) and Norwegian Institute for Public Health (NIPH Liste B).

These official approvals allow the KappaLine UV to be used in larger waterworks and smaller drinking water facilities to protect consumers against waterborne pathogens, including most bacteria, viruses, parasites, protozoa (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) and bacterial spores.

The KappaLine UV is officially tested and approved with a cleaning device (manual or motor-driven). This device prevents fouling of the protecting quartz sleeves, greatly reducing UV light loss.

The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) designed and biodosimetric approved KappaLine UV provides optimal protection against pathogens, delivering the highest performance for the lowest operational costs.

Alfaline UV

AlfaLine UV

AlfaLine UV, the most compact UV system, is designed for all types of water treatment.

The so-called “I-shape”, where the water’s inlet and outlet are in one line, results in low head-loss, and very easy installation in new or existing pipelines.

The long-life medium-pressure UV lamps are compact and emit a broad spectrum of wavelengths with a high intensity.

AlfaLine UV systems prevent fouling of the quartz sleeves and UV sensor with an effective manual or electrical ‘anti-fouling mechanism’.

The Power Control System (PCS) enables the UV lamps to run at the most optimal setting to save energy and increase lamp life. This reduces operational costs and increases your return on investment.

The Lambda PLC controller ensures optimal operation of the AlfaLine UV. It provides the operator with valuable information about inputs and outputs, actual UV dose, UV intensity, lamp and system running hours, 4-20mA UV output, maintenance, warnings and alarms. The controller can be equipped with a BUS-connection to communicate with an external master PLC.
