PRIMIX recently delivered one of the largest fully stainless steel static mixers in its history. The static mixer is installed in the Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW) in Singapore and has a diameter of 1600 mm and will mix 300 million liters of drinking water per day in full operation.
Static mixer for after-chlorination and fluoride dosage
Ferry Posthuma technical manager at PRIMIX about the mixer: “The static mixer has been made entirely in stainless steel especially for this application. It has been equipped with three injectors which allows for the after-chlorination and fluoride dosing of the drinking water in a safe and manageable way. The injectors were an integral part of the design, taking into account the desired dosages and flow patterns at an early stage. This has created an optimal static mixer for this application.”
Injectors can be exchanged in full operation
One of the injectors functions as a spare injector where all injectors are provided with a removable injection shaft and a valve. This makes it possible to carry out maintenance on the injectors or linked systems in full operation.
Collaboration
The fully customized static mixer is the result of the cooperation between the Singapore Public Utilities Board (PUB), the water supply authority of Singapore, our local distributor PFM and PRIMIX. Due to its large size, the static mixer is certainly a milestone for PRIMIX, as a global supplier on the water market.
