Submersible Aerators

Submersible Self-Aspirating Aerators

The TRN-series is a submersible self-aspirating aerator designed for aeration and mixing of wastewater. The liquid flow generated by Tsurumi’s special semi-open impeller causes negative pressure to form on the backside of the impeller vanes and draw in air from above the water’s surface. The aspirated air, mixed with water viciously by mechanical forces inside the impeller and guide vane, transforms into tiny bubbles. Moreover, the mixed flow of air and water is evenly discharged in multiple directions along the circumference. The compounded action of the air lift and convective currents that are generated in the process makes aeration and agitation very efficient and increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in the water.

Application to Deeper Installation
Each aerator has a limit in its installation depth, but Tsurumi provides an optional device by which the aerator can be installed in deeper places. It is a simple stand or a stand with draft tube. Details are available on request.

Submersible Ejectors

Submersible Self-Aspirating Jet Aerators

The BER-series is a submersible self-aspirating jet aerators combined a submersible pump with a venturi-jet based diffuser. The liquid flow generated by the submerged pump causes negative pressure to form around the nozzle, whereby drawing in air from above the water’s surface. With this jet injector mechanism, the aspirated air mixes with water and is ejected through the diffuser, simultaneously agitating and aerating the ponded water. The mixed air-water is ejected powerfully in one direction, which effectively agitates the water across a wide area.

Decanter Skimmer

Floating Scum Skimmers

The FSP-series is a floating scum skimmer designed for the collection of floating scum in the wastewater treatment. It consists of a submersible pump, jet-injector mechanism, and three floats. The jet-injector mechanism ensures stable suction operation even if water, air and scum are drawn simultaneously. As it is a floating type, the suction mouth can keep its relative position with the water surface, which prevents operation failure due to changes in the water level. The suction mouth can be adjusted to a depth between 0 to 60mm, so that the skimmer can efficiently suck scum with minimal amount of water. Adjustment of the depth can be done by turning the floats to right or left.

Slurry Pumps

Slurry Pumps

The GPN-series is a submersible three-phase high power and extra heavy-duty slurry pump driven by a 4-pole or 6-pole motor. It is equipped with a high-chromium cast iron agitator that assists smooth suction of the settled matters. The other wear parts such as the impeller and the suction plate are also made of high-chromium cast iron for extra durability. The side discharge, spiral design allows smoother passage of the sucked solid matters. The motor is cooled by a water jacket that assures efficient motor cooling even when it operates with its motor exposed to air. The use of guide rail fitting system improves convenience in the facilities such as, iron works, ready-mixed concrete plants, and wastewater treatment plants where the pump is to be installed with a fixed discharge piping.

Slurry Pumps

The GSZ-6-series is a submersible three-phase high power and high volume heavy-duty slurry pump driven by a 6-pole motor. In combination with abrasion-resistant wear parts, the very low speed motor ensures extremely long wear life. The side discharge, spiral design allows smoother passage of the sucked solid matters. The motor is cooled by a water jacket that assures efficient motor cooling even when it operates with its motor exposed to air.

High-Head Dewatering Pumps (Dual Impellers)

The LH-W-series is a three-phase cast iron extra high head drainage pump having dual impellers. Being the pump cylindrical and slim, it can be installed in a well casing for deep well dewatering. The center flange construction assures a stable installation even if it is fixed by the discharge pipe.*1 The top discharge, flow-thru design provides maximum motor cooling efficiency allowing continuous operation at low water levels and extended dry-run capability. The pump incorporates seal pressure relief ports that prevent the pumping pressure from applying to the shaft seal.*2

Portable Residue Dewatering Pumps

The LSC pump is a submersible single-phase portable residue drainage pump. The specially designed bottom plate enables the pump to drain down to 1mm water level. It has a swing check valve that prevents reverse-flow of the sucked water when the pump stops its operation. The rubber lined base plate protects the floor surface from scratching. Though the pump is a single-phase unit, it has the durability equivalent to three-phase drainage pumps, since the wear parts are made of abrasion-resistant materials. The top discharge, flow-thru design provides maximum motor cooling efficiency allowing continuous operation at low water levels and extended dry-run capability. The discharge direction is selectable between vertical and inclined, which prevents folding or bending of the discharge hose.

Pumps with Vortex Impeller

The UT-series is an economical type submersible vortex pump designed for handling raw sewage and wastewater from domestic and commercial areas. Rotation of the impeller produces vortex flow in the pump casing, which allows solid matters and fibrous materials to be pumped out with minimum contact to the impeller. Since this mechanism does not require those foreign matters to pass through the impeller vane, the pump offers practically unchokable pumping.
