Design

Fully submersible, compact integrated motor-pump unit consisting of:

  • Pump: Single stage centrifugal pump with horizontal discharge BSP 21/2“M.
  • Impeller: Closed single channel impeller for liquids containing impurities and sludge with solid particles. Spherical clearance 50 mm.
  • Motor: Fully submersible, pressure tight electric motor. Insulation class H. Degree of protection IP 68. Thermal sensors embedded in the winding on request (standard with TP50M50, TP50M12/2W, TP50M17W and model Ex). Motor start: TP50M12-37: Direct-on-line TP50M50: Direct-on-line or Star-delta-start Cable: TP50M12-37: H07RN-F 4 G 1.5 TP50M12-37Ex: H07PLUS 6 G 1.5 TP50M50(Ex): H07RN-F(PLUS) 10 G1.5
  • Shaft/Bearing: Large diameter stainless steel rotor shaft, pre-lubricated bearings.
  • Seals: Combination of mechanical seals (silicon-carbide/silicon-carbide) in a separate oil chamber (models above 1.8 kW). Models up to 1.6 kW with mechanical seal and lip seal. Oil inspection from outside.
  • Explosion protection: All models available with explosion proof motors according to II 2 G Ex c d II B T4 (T3).

Design

Fully submersible, compact integrated motor-pump unit consisting of:

  • Pump: Single stage centrifugal pump with horizontal discharge.
  • Impeller: Model TCV with vortex impeller for liquids containing a high level of impurities or fibrous matter and containing gas. Spherical clearance 35 up to 65 mm. Model TCM with open single channel impeller for liquids containing impurities and sludge with solid particles. Spherical clearance 65 mm.
  • Motor: Fully submersible, pressure tight electric motor. Insulation class F. Motor protection IP 68. Single phase motors 230-240 V with thermal sensors embedded in the winding. Cable: TCV408-519W(A): H07RN-F3G1 TCM616W(A): H07RN-F3G1.5 TCV513-620D: H07RN-F4G1.5 TCM616-622D: H07RN-F4G1.5

  • Motor: Fully submersible, pressure tight electric motor. Insulation class H. Degree of protection IP 68. Thermal sensor embedded in the winding. Cable: H07 RN-F (Plus) 6G1.5 with cable protective hose and longitudinally tight cable trumpet.
  • Shaft/Bearing: Large diameter stainless steel rotor shaft, pre-lubricated bearings. Seals: Combination of two mechanical seals (silicon-carbide/ silicon-carbide) in separate oil chamber. Oil inspection from outside.
  • Explosion proof: All Pump types also with explosion proof motors according to II 2 G Ex c d II B T4 (T3) available.

Fully submersible, compact integrated motor-pump consisting of:

  • Pump: Single stage centrifugal pump with horizontal discharge DN 50.
  • Impeller: Open multi-channel impeller. Cutter system at pump inlet consisting of stationary cutter ring and blade rotor from hardened (45 rockwell C scale minimum) high alloy stainless steel.
  • Motor: Fully submersible, pressure tight electric motor, three phase, oil-filled. Thermal sensors embedded in stator winding. Insulation class H. Degree of motor protection IP 68. Cable connection chamber totally isolated from motor housing. Cable: H07RN-F7G1.5 and 5G 1.5 Model Ex: H07RN – F-PLUS 10G1.5 and 4G1.5.
  • Shaft/Bearing: Large diameter stainless.

Application

HOMA Barracuda GRP Grinder Pumps are designed for high-head pumping applications of waste water and sewage. Their hard stainless steel cutter system grinds all soft solids to small pieces, enabling the pumps to provide high pressure pumping at low motor rating. It also allows the use of cost saving small diameter pipework.

The Barracuda GRP series pumps are typically used in:

  • Commercial and domestic wastewater and sewage containing soft solids
  • Small municipal collection systems
  • Optional Factory Mutual (FM) label for Class I, Div 1 EX construction.
